European Championships in figure skating will take place in Tallinn from 18 to 24 January, the competition will be held at the Saku Suurhall, training - in Preemia Jäähall.

ANNOUNCEMENT
International Figure Skating Competition for Senior Ladies, Men and Ice Dance
October 8 - 11, 2009 Vantaa, Finland



GENERAL REGULATIONS
The 14th Finlandia Trophy will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2008, the ISU Special Regulations and Technical Rules for Figure Skating and Ice Dance, as well as all pertinent ISU Communications....

PLACE AND DATE
... The Finlandia Trophy 2009 will be held in Vantaa, at the Valtti Areena, from October 8 to October 11, 2009. The ice rink is situated 5 km from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport and about 30 minutes by car or 20 minutes by train from Helsinki.

ENTRIES
... The preliminary entries must reach the Organizer by Friday, August 7, 2009 and all final entries on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the latest.

TECHNICAL DATA
All competition events and practice sessions will be held in Vantaa, at the Valtti Areena main and practice arena. Both rinks are indoor and heated. Both rinks measure 28 m x 58 m....

Duration: max 2 min 50 sec
Program Component factors: 1.0
Requirements according to the ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2008, Rule 510, paragraphs 1 and 2, and all pertinent ISU Communications.
- Free Skating
Duration: 4 min 30 sec, +/- 10 sec
Program Component factors: 2,0
Requirements according to the ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2008, Rule 520 and all pertinent ISU Communications....


PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE (subject to change)
The final Schedule of all the events, with practice sessions and practice groups, will be given upon arrival. Official Practice sessions will begin on Friday, October 9 at 7.30.

Arena

The arena of Saku Suurhall is the biggest multi purpose venue in Estonia. It was built in 2001 and while being smaller is conceptually based upon Helsinki’s Hartwall arena, where the European Championships took place in January 2009. For concerts, the arena can hold up to 10 000 spectators. Each year, around 300 events take place in Saku Suurhall.
